It Had To Be You, I'll Be Seeing You, and Out of Nowhere
Contemporary Romances by Beverly Bird

With affection, I call this the "Chihuahua Trilogy," as the books feature a guardian angel in the form of a Chihuahua. Belle winds her way through the lives of three couples, blending mystery and mayhem into a fun bunch of books. I read the third book first, not knowing there were others. Each book stands nicely on its own. Bird blends fun concepts and characters into fast-paced, light reads.

There are a few romance cliches along the way, but they didn't bother me. I was caught up in the humour of the books as well as the idea of a guardian angel Chihuahua. Though Belle often pulls a vanishing act, she tends to steal the scenes she is in.

The heroines are all credible, and the heroes all delicious. The heroes are named for archangels, perhaps the reason Belle has chosen to focus on them. The characters in the books have connections beyond Belle, but I'll leave them for you to discover.

If you're looking for fun, adventure, humour, and a quick read, settle in with these books.
